Hosting
So what's the point of having a domain if I only post my own content? I miss the days when everybody had their own website and it was something super awesome to get "hosted." Can I single-handedly bring it back? Nope, but I can try. Read on to see how you can get yourself hosted here.
What I want to host.
- Personal sites, graphics sites, fansites, fanfic, fanlistings, etc
- If you know it's a subject I'm interested in, I'll probably want to host it
- It would be awesome if we had a good rapport aside from just a host/hostee thing
- Above all, good content and good design
What I don't want.
- Anything expressing hate, prejudice and ignorance. If you think that's harsh, I'm sorry but I'm not budging.
- Stores or any other for-profit sites.
- Bad design and/or lack of content are major turn-offs.
- A bad attitude. I don't need online drama.
What you get.
- Your own site at odd-notions.net/you or you.odd-notions.net
- An email address with webmail
- Plenty of space to do what you want with
- Any help and support you need to get the site running
- Featured on the hostee list, obviously
- Full support for wordpress and several other databases and such
- Other perks which I have not yet thought of
